Wilderness Therapy

Our approach: our Wilderness Therapy programmes are specially designed to combine outdoor learning, vocational skills and personal development with ongoing support from our experienced staff team...

 

Unprecedented access to therapeutic support: all day, every day... through innovative, informal approaches.

 

Professional and safe: our staff team are appropriately qualified in the use of the outdoors. We have CRB Enhanced disclosures and all our activities are risk assessed with Public Liability Insurance up to £5 million.

 

We can offer: long term, ongoing therapeutic programmes for young people or adults, group based or individual. Residential options are available, either on-site or off-site on bushcraft-based camping expeditions.

 

Therapy: ground-breaking programmes in Wilderness Therapy, with experienced practitioners qualified in developmental and therapeutic use of the outdoors

Eco-building

Personal development and vocational training: we work closely with our clients to ensure not only that our buildings are stunning and eco-friendly, but that the process of creating them transforms participants’ understanding of learning.

 

Transformative consultation & construction: we push the boundaries to ensure it is the client group who designs and creates their own buildings, from beginning to end...

 

Ancient skills combined with cutting edge technology: our building methods marry the finest contemporary approaches with skills and knowledge acquired over centuries. The result is breathtaking designs and structures...

Our approach: taking learning into the outdoors, we offer a range of activities which combine personal development with practical, tangible skills in ESDGC.

 

Ancient skills/modern technology: our educational site demonstrates best practice in blending traditional eco-friendly building methods with the most up-to-date technological advances in renewable energy generation – and some lovely rare breed pigs!

 

‘Disaffected’ & ’disadvantaged’ learners: we specialise in supporting ‘hard to reach’ learners through providing experiences which meet their needs and offering new opportunities

 

We can offer: vocational training in traditional building skills combined with adventurous activities , wilderness expeditions, growing and cooking fantastic food...
